Sarah Wilmot Yoga Classes
CLASSES
DYNAMIC CHAIR YOGA
This class will be a dynamic chair yoga class with the majority of the class standing. We will spend time bringing ourselves into the present moment and connecting with the breath. There will be a focus on warrior poses and strengthening the body, improving joint mobility and practising balance. Finally, I will take you through a guided relaxation while seated in your chair.
There are no poses lying on the ground in this class.
HATHA CHAIR YOGA
In this class we practise traditional yoga poses but adapt them for anyone who doesn’t wish to attend a standard yoga class. These classes start seated on our chair where we will spend some time bringing ourselves into the present moment. I will then take us through some seated poses and some standing poses focusing on strengthening the body, improving joint mobility and practising balance. Finally, I will take you through a guided relaxation while seated in your chair. There are options to take this class seated throughout and avoid the standing poses.
HATHA YOGA
A less dynamic class than the Vinyasa class, but you can still expect a mixture of creative flowing movements and opportunities for mindfulness in our still poses. The practice will begin lying or seated to allow time to arrive on our mats and bring our focus out of our minds and into our bodies and our breath. Following this I will take us through a variety of seated, lying and standing poses combining our breath with our movement. Some poses will flow from one to another and other poses will be held for a few breaths to help us strengthen our bodies and increase our stamina. We will also work to improve our balance. Some classes will include props such as blocks and straps to help us find ease in our poses. Finally, we will finish the practice lying down for a guided relaxation.
SLOW FLOW AND RESTORE YOGA
In this class we take a slow Hatha flow moving through seated and standing poses. There is plenty of time in this class to focus on the breath and spend some moments of stillness. We also use a variety of props such as straps, blocks, blankets and bolsters to enable us to fully relax into our restorative poses. The themes of this class are based around the subtle body and often include Chakra work and pranayama.

BABY & ME YOGA
I have created this new Baby & Me Yoga class with Mamas in mind. Pregnancy and birth can be a magical time but it is also a tiring time. Babies take everything they need from us at a time when our bodies are attempting to heal from birth. We need space and time to care for our bodies and our minds too.
Baby & Me Yoga is a time when we can nourish our body, rebuild strength and cultivate energy. It is also a lovely way to connect with other new mamas in the area.
This relaxed yoga class is a chance to practise some self care for yourselves and be part of a community. You can expect gentle yoga poses to help reconnect with our bodies, ourselves and our babies. We will also incorporate some sensory fun for babies too.
Baby & Me Yoga Classes are suitable for you and your babies from 6 weeks post birth (8 weeks post caesarean birth) up to 12 months (or until baby is walking, whichever comes first!).
All Mamas are welcome, however you birthed your baby and however you feed your baby. Support for all xxx
