Sarah Wilmot Yoga

Welcome to Sarah Wilmot Yoga Somerset!

Anyone that knows me knows that I am passionate about mental wellbeing. I use my skills as a yoga teacher to share relaxed and welcoming yoga classes with creative flows and an opportunity to connect with the breath.

I offer a variety of classes including Vinyasa Yoga, Hatha Flow and Chair Yoga. You should find plenty of information about my classes including how to book them on this website, however if you have any questions then please contact me, I would love to hear from you!

HATHA YOGA

I teach several styles of Hatha Yoga from Dynamic Hatha Vinyasa to a more restorative Slow Flow and Restore. Although the classes may vary in style, they are all creative, laid back and welcoming.  For full descriptions of my Hatha Classes including where they are held and how to book use the link below.

PREGNANCY YOGA AND BABY & ME YOGA

I am very excited to be offering Pregnancy Yoga to all Mama’s from 2nd trimester onwards and Baby & Me Yoga to all Mama’s from 6 weeks after birth (8 weeks post caesarean birth).  Use the link below to take you to my Mindful Mama page for further information.

CHAIR YOGA

In this class we practise traditional yoga poses but adapt them for anyone who doesn’t wish to attend a standard yoga class.  We use seated and standing poses to help strengthen the body and increase mobility.  There are options to take this class seated throughout and avoid the standing poses.

Pregnancy Yoga, Somerset

Pre-natal yoga with Sarah was an absolute life line through the second half of my pregnancy, for many reasons. Although I was physically well I was finding work, lockdown and pregnancy anxiety psychologically challenging. Yoga with Sarah gave me physical and mental opportunity to take an hour for myself, to focus on calming my mind and moving my body. Sarah was so professional and caring, and I really felt the benefit of her experience even though most of the sessions were via Zoom. Sarah’s empathy for fertility, pregnancy and motherhood was so important to me, and I looked forward to feeling her warmth and kindness during our sessions. Towards the end of my pregnancy we focused on gentle movement, alignment and positive affirmations, really helping me prepare for birth.

I booked a batch of private sessions with Sarah earlier this month as part of a self made “retreat” to the countryside and I really couldn’t recommend her enough. Not only did she take the time to construct a set of routines perfectly catered to my requirements, but she also paid great attention along the way to the things I responded well to and adapted the classes to best suit my individual needs and preferences.

During the classes Sarah explained things in ways that gave me a deeper perspective and showed me many new techniques and postures to enrich my practice. Not to mention that she was very generous with her time, going over on many of the classes and always staying behind to answer my questions and chat. In conclusion…I left somerset a new man and will certainly be going back for more as soon as I can manage.. would highly recommend to others!!

I recognise it is a rare find indeed to find someone who delivers such professional, carefully considered, well structured and group appropriate sessions. In addition to that you deliver the content with such beautifully low key, laconic humour which regularly has me quietly corpsing on the mat or in mid pose. You may get a different sensation on this side to the other side. Masterful! It goes without saying, I feel extremely privileged to be able to get to your sessions and enjoy every moment – even the more taxing ones, which I realise are completely of my own making!

I attended Sarah’s Autumn Equinox workshop in October and it was such a genuine, warming and relaxing morning. Every move was explained clearly and help offered when needed. The flow was perfect for me and the guided meditation just what was needed. And all rounded off with incredible homemade cakes and tea! The workshop was relax and restore and it did just that. Can’t wait to try some of her regular classes now!

I have been going to Sarah Wilmot for my weekly classes for a while now and would absolutely recommend her to anyone wanting to give yoga a go.
She is not only a lovely person, she is also very professional and patient whether you are a beginner or been practicing yoga for a while.
I had a problem with my hip/groin joint which was giving me a lot of discomfort, after a few classes with Sarah it definitely has improved along with my strength and posture.

Chair Yoga

Brilliant session for our WI which was enjoyed by all ages and abilities, whether somewhat immobile or extremely fit and flexible. Sarah’s presentation was sympathetic and engaging and the evening was a huge success, with several members enquiring about joining Sarah’s class.

Sarah is an absolutely fantastic yoga teacher. She has a warmth and gentle humour that quickly puts you at ease and her sessions, be they group or individual, are highly accessible but also present you with just the right degree of challenge. I thoroughly enjoy my sessions with her. I always come away from them feeling better than when I went in! Sarah even has my poorly ’70 something’ mum engaging in weekly sessions that my mum never thought she could do in a million years and she is enjoying them too! I would highly recommend Sarah to anyone.

Sarah’s yoga class is welcoming, down to earth and relaxed. I look forward to it every week because I know it makes me feel calm and strong!

Having recently moved to Somerset I was looking to join a new yoga class and found Sarah’s classes. Sarah and the rest of the group were very welcoming and I look forward to Monday mornings with their good mix of flow, poses and relaxation in a supportive and friendly setting.

My husband and I did Sarah’s Samhain yoga workshop and absolutely loved it! Sarah has a wonderful way of creating a beautiful, safe space to practice yoga. Her class was wonderfully designed to encourage a sense of deep relaxation, but we also had plenty of opportunities to challenge ourselves if we wanted to. It felt, for me, the perfect balance. I would highly recommend Sarah’s classes and we will definitely be attending more of her workshops in future.

We attended Sarah’s Autumn Yoga workshop and loved it! The workshop was the perfect mix of breathing exercises, meditation, relaxation and poses. It was beautifully led by Sarah who has a lovely personable style that is very easy to engage with. Sarah’s workshop felt well put together and cohesive, with plenty of variation in the asanas, with them being accessible yet challenging. I’d have no problem recommending Sarah and would definitely attend future workshops.

Oliver, Somerset

Brilliant Yogi Hens session with Sarah for a weekend hen do. The experience was so much fun. The girls were all asked what they wanted out of the session and were really listened too throughout. The bits in pairs was especially fun! Would definitely recommend to all! Can’t wait to do it again in the future.

Hen Weekend

An hour a week where I can truly relax and reset for the days ahead.
