YOGA CLASSES FROM MINDFUL MAMA

Pre & Postnatal Yoga
I undertook fertility treatment in order to have my beautiful daughter Martha and in short for one reason and another she was a miracle.
Throughout my pregnancy I practised pregnancy yoga as a way to connect in a natural way to my pregnancy after what had been a pretty unnatural process.
Pregnancy is an awesome, magical, wonderful time. However, it can also be a challenging time as your body, hormones and emotions adjust to the hard work your body is doing growing a baby! Pregnancy Yoga can help us with all of this.
I am very excited to be sharing pregnancy yoga with expectant mamas from the second trimester onwards.
Once your beautiful baby has arrived and your body has had a few weeks to settle, post natal yoga can be a wonderful way to reconnect with your body and your sense of self. I have created Baby and Me Yoga with Mamas in mind to help you nourish your body, rediscover your strength, cultivate gentle energy and connect with other Mamas.
Mamas and babies welcome 6 weeks after birth (8 weeks after a caesarean birth).
What to expect from your pregnancy yoga class?
These classes are for anyone from their second trimester onwards. It doesn’t matter whether you are an experienced yogi or have never set foot in a yoga class before.
We will spend the class moving through a variety of yoga poses specially chosen and sequenced for expectant mamas. Some poses will be seated and some standing. We have a range of props to use in order to ensure that you are comfortable and able to find ease.
We will also take the time to connect with our breath, connect with our baby and prepare for birthing our baby.

Pre-natal yoga with Sarah was an absolute life line through the second half of my pregnancy, for many reasons. Although I was physically well I was finding work, lockdown and pregnancy anxiety psychologically challenging. Yoga with Sarah gave me physical and mental opportunity to take an hour for myself, to focus on calming my mind and moving my body. Sarah was so professional and caring, and I really felt the benefit of her experience even though most of the sessions were via Zoom. Sarah’s empathy for fertility, pregnancy and motherhood was so important to me, and I looked forward to feeling her warmth and kindness during our sessions. Towards the end of my pregnancy we focused on gentle movement, alignment and positive affirmations, really helping me prepare for birth.

What to expect from your Baby & Me yoga class?
Massive congratulations! Your baby is here! Your body, your hormones, your emotions are all probably in a total state of confusion.
Baby & Me Yoga is a fun, nourishing way to help us to settle our nervous system, nourish our body and connect with other new mamas in the area. This yoga class is a chance to practise some self care for yourselves and be part of a community. You can expect gentle yoga poses to help reconnect with our bodies, ourselves and our babies. We will also incorporate some sensory fun for baby too.
Baby & Me Yoga Classes are suitable for babies from 6 weeks onward (8 weeks post c-section).
